Hi, I'm John Anderson, I'm 26, and i'm fed up of being broke. So I have turned to the internet in an attempt to make some money. Like you I have seen hundreds of web sites, adverts and emails from people who claim to have "discovered to secret" to generating a decent online income. Some of the claims I have seen are ridiculous, and if they were true everyone with a computer and a bit of free time would be as rich as Bill Gates. However I do think the internet can provide an opportunity to make a realistic income. Whether or not it will be enough to "give up the day job" remains to be seen.

The Online Income Project is intended to discover just how easy it is to make money from the net, and how much effort it takes to do so. I will be dedicating most of my free time to making money from the internet, and I am trying to reach UK minimum wage. That's a huge sum of £204.24 per week. I don't expect to be earning that much straight away, but that's the target. After all there are hundreds of people who claim to have quit their job in favor of internet based incomes. Assuming they were working full time then that's the minimum figure they must be making! So Away I go, off on a money making adventure, it should be fun, after all... it's easy... right?
